About Paul

In 1999 Paul co-founded ContactPartners (formerly ClickToCall.com) along with Russell Hopcraft, based on a shared vision for creating rewarding customer contact.

A natural people-person with an eye for detail, it only makes sense that Paul’s main focus is client management and overseeing internal operations. Paul is a driving force behind the company’s strategy and engages closely and regularly with clients, overseeing the quality of work and continuously looking to improve the client’s customer contact.

Back when ContactPartners was just a twinkle in Paul’s eye, he spent over 15 years in the financial services industry, starting with Sun Life of Canada before moving to TSB Property Services, then Lloyds TSB after the merger of the two organisations, and, finally, Liverpool Victoria. During this period, Paul held a variety of roles, varying from independent financial advice to senior, national sales management in the latter years. Paul’s extensive experience has influenced ContactPartners’ core values: commitment to providing the very best technologies, independence and objectivity, and a genuine desire to make customer experiences really rather good.

Paul is just as busy outside of ContactPartners, supporting his local youth theatre and as the Chairman of the Oxford Youth Football League which facilitates football for over 6,500 young people. He is a family man, that enjoys the comforts of home just as much as exploring new countries. He’s also an enthusiastic guitarist, but only when no one else is listening!

Every ContactPartners team member has their own unique mobius (that’s what we call our logo). For his mobius, Paul chose to use the Northern Lights because: “It reminds me of a magical time, witnessing something truly awesome”.

We asked Paul:

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

Although it’s a dream that may never be realised, I would love to take a trip down the Amazon. I think that would be fascinating.

If you could only take one album, one book and one food to a desert island, what would you choose?

  • Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – Elton John.
  • Either “A prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving or “Earthly Powers” by Anthony Burgess.
  • Does a wide variety of breads count as one food?

Name your top three dinner party guests, dead or alive.

  • Sir Winston Churchill
  • Christopher Hitchens
  • Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.
