Information Security Policy Statement

Here’s the thing – information security is a big deal. If businesses don’t dedicate time and resource into keeping their organisation and customers safe, then they are not getting it and that’s a problem. But here’s the good news – WE GET IT. Information security is embedded in everything we do and we take it seriously.

Our business is rooted in confidentiality, integrity and security and we keep that in check by having a strong information security policy like BS ISO/IEC 27001:2013 in place.

Led by our ContactPartners management team, but understood by everyone working here, our Information Security Controls are fundamental to ContactPartners doing what we do and being awesome. Our policies underpin our commitment to running a safe and secure business for all our people: customers, partners and the team.

Here’s how we are committed to information security:

Our people

Process and procedures are not the most exciting thing in the world, but when the going gets tough it’s sure nice to have them to turn to isn’t it? We have put processes in place to make our customers, partners and team members feel safe and reassure them that there’s a procedure out there to help with any information security challenge that might pop up.

Communication and data management

We aim to tell anyone who’ll listen about our dedication to information security (never invite us to dinner parties). In fact, we like sharing information about who we are and what we do generally – but we never compromise on security. Our emails, files, social networks and internal chin wags are always carried out securely.

Technology and software

The IT we use is solid as a rock. We do our thing using reliable and robust hardware and systems. From the software we use to build solutions for our customers, to the systems we rely on internally to keep the cogs turning – it’s all super safe and continually reviewed.

Procedure and regulation

It’s not an easy (or exciting) job, but our in-house information security experts makes sure we comply with all applicable laws, regulations and contractual obligations and listens to our customers and partners’ needs in case anything changes or new ones crop up.

Physical security

We make sure ContactPartners HQ, and all our data processing locations, are safe and secure. This doesn’t just mean doors locked and laptops squirrelled away – this means everything, the building itself and everything in it.

Training and development

We love our team but people can always get be better, right? That’s why we are committed to the training and development of the entire ContactPartners clan on all things information security. We make sure training happens whenever needed and the details are always recorded.

Risk assessment

When it comes to business, surprises aren’t always fun. That’s why we consider the future impact of all our business decisions, big or small and continually review our risk evaluation criteria, which may have an impact on information security.

That’s how ContactPartners does information security. Like we said, we take this stuff seriously and it’s our promise to our customers, partners and team members that we’ll always do just that.

ISO27001 Certification

The approved administration systems apply to the following.  The design, development, implementation and hosting of customer and internal communications software as a service.

Our current certification runs from June 15th 2018 through to June 15 2019, and you can download a copy here.

It’s nice to be good isn’t it? For us Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is all about having a positive impact on our employees and the environment through our work.

Our aim

Law and order: Meet, and if possible, exceed relevant legal requirements
Honesty is the best policy: Behave honestly and with integrity in everything we do
Fair’s fair: Act ethically and fairly at all times in our dealings with people
Green is good: Minimise the impact of our business operations on the environment

Environmental impact

We aim to be kind to this little planet of ours, making the most efficient and effective use of all resources, and encouraging all staff to develop a sustainable approach to their work.

  • There are several recycling points at ContactPartners HQ
  • Where possible, we purchase computing hardware with low power consumption
  • We minimise carbon emissions by avoiding unnecessary journeys and travelling by public transport when we can
  • If a trip can be avoided with a spot of audio conferencing then we pick up the phone instead

Our people

There’s an undeniable family feel at ContactPartners and it’s all down to a few simple values we live by:

  • Everyone gets treated fairly, with respect, and without discrimination. We value their opinions, their thoughts, and respect their beliefs.
  • We encourage open discussion and the sharing of knowledge. We work in an open plan office which helps everyone take part in making decisions.
  • We provide a safe, fulfilling and rewarding career for all our employees.

We respect and embrace diversity of skills, knowledge and talent. We take no notice of ethnicity, race, gender, nationality, age, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.

Social awareness

We’re responsible for our impact on the local community and society and work hard day-to-day to build and maintain a positive relationship with them.

In short, we’re fully committed to the goal of operating all of our services legally, ethically, and responsibly and doing good whenever and wherever we can.
